Say hello to: TRACHODON

TRACHODON (TRAK-o-don) "Rough Tooth" (Greek trachys = rough + odon = tooth, referring to the rought surface formed by dozens of tiny denticles onthe tooth crown)

The name was given to a single HADROSAUR tooth found in Late Cretaceous rock in Montana. Trachodon is now considered to be the same as ANATOSAURUS. Since the name Anatosaurus is based on more complete information, it is the prefered name.

Classification: Hadrosauridae, Ornithopoda, Ornithischia
